Coaching sessions are run by CRB checked, qualified England Athletics as follows:
Years 3 & 4 (Under 9s) and Years 5 – 8 (Under 11s and Under 13s):
Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 7:15pm and Saturday mornings 9:30 to 10:30am – both at Berrydown Sports field, Overton. You are welcome to attend either or both sessions each week. All abilities are welcome and the sessions are based around the fundamentals of athletics. During the summer we hold regular Quadkids competitions and in the winter we take part in the Hampshire Sportshall indoor competition and two cross country leagues. Years 9 onwards (Under 15s and Under 17s):
Training takes place on a Thursday evening and Saturday morning, with the focus on endurance running and introducing the athletes to competitive running, both cross country and on the track. For more details please contact Mark Dennison (01256 771861)
Children are welcome to attend sessions on a trial basis before signing up to be a junior member of the Club. Copies of membership forms are available either here, or on the Club noticeboard in the Overton Recreation Centre. Please complete the form and return it to one of the coaches, along with the £10 termly subs.
